Tojiro Sippu Black Santoku Damascus chef's knife with burnt chestnut handle
The Tojiro Santoku chef's knife from the "Sippu black" series has a 63-layer Damascus blade with a middle layer of VG10 steel. The blade is machine-made, but the chef's knife is sharpened by hand. The Tojiro "Sippu black" is made in Japan and has a burnt chestnut handle.
The Santuku is an all-round chef's knife. The curved blade makes it ideal for cutting herbs and vegetables. Because by resting your hand on the back of the blade, you can use it as a "cradle knife". But the Santoku chef's knife is also excellently designed for the preparation of fish or meat, as the blade is finely ground.
Chef's knives don't belong in the dishwasher and you should treat the wooden handle with camellia oil from time to time.
