INFO PAGE - SK-X my first slipjoint pocket knife

With the SK-X I have reached the first dozen of my designed knives and fulfill my heart's desire - MY FIRST OWN POCKET KNIFE

The aim of the design was to combine classic and modern design and again to take customer feedback into account as far as possible. Instead of a lock like a liner or frame lock, I deliberately chose a slipjoint version so that you can use it legally in Germany without any problems. The following points were important to me in terms of design:
Axle bolt in the middle and not offset as in many comparable models
Closed transition from handle to blade when closed
Slightly larger in size than comparable pocket knives to make it a daily user
After the first draft was ready, I was missing that certain pep. So I went and added a curved 3D contour to the sides of the titanium handle. This meant that the inlays are interchangeable and you can always give the knife a new look.

For the production I decided again for JE made Knives, because JiYi has an absolutely high production level in terms of quality and we are now very close friends. And especially in the slipjoint sector, JiYi is the first address for a tight back spring.

As of July 10, 2023, we are currently having a prototype produced. If no major changes are necessary after receipt, we plan the release for KNIFE 2024 in Solingen (beginning of May).

The following properties are currently planned:

• Steel: still open
• Blade length: ca.88mm
• Handle length. about 110mm
• Blade thickness: max. 3mm
• Cutting bevel: ground to 0.2-0.3mm
• Cut: hollow grind
• Handle Material: Continuous titanium bolster and liner
• Inlays: partly as "Rilled Milling" - G10; Micarta, Antique Micarta, Titanium, Carbon, Mammoth Tusk
• Other: Hidden lanyard hole
