Herder knife Petty cherry tree series rust-free small all-round knife
I am always asked which kitchen knives should be bought when new. In my eyes you usually need 2 knives. Once a large chef's knife with a blade up to approx. 180mm and a small all-round knife like the Petty with a max. Blade length of 130mm.
The Herder Petty of the cherry tree series is such an all-rounder. Ideal for smaller vegetables, herbs and various types of fruit. The blade of the windmill knife is thinly ground and blue-plastered.
TIP:
If you want to push the material to be cut off the wooden cutting board, use the back of the blade for this. Thus, they protect the blade which then maintains its sharpness for longer.
Note:
A chef's knife does not belong in the dishwasher! If you have a carbon knife, rinse the knife briefly with clear water after use and then dry it well. Your knife thanks you for a regular drop of oil for carbon blades or wooden handles.
