Herder Buckels cherry tree series breakfast and snack knife stainless 118mm windmill knife
Born from the rural tradition of Germany, this knife with its special blade shape has been manufactured by us for over 140 years according to the principle of the "Solinger thin grinding".
The Buckelsklinge, also known as the old German table knife, shows its unique character with its unmistakable shape, characterized by its special tasks, namely having to cut and spread.
It's wide for a good cut, sharp so that you don't need to use another knife for hard sausage, and with the round tip you can spread something as expensive as butter sparingly and thinly. Its smooth, thin-bevel cuts bread, and especially rolls, without leaving unwanted clumps of crumbs in the middle. It doesn't need a serrated edge. The blade is made of stainless steel.
Like all classic windmill knives, it has a beautiful, comfortable wooden handle. A sharp all-rounder for the kitchen and the table. Great Solingen handwork!
Properties:
Steel: CMV stainless steel
Blade length: 118mm
Total length: 220mm
Handle: cherry
TIP:
If you want to push the material to be cut off the wooden cutting board, use the back of the blade for this. This protects the blade, which then retains its sharpness for longer.
Note:
A chef's knife does not belong in the dishwasher! If you have a carbon knife, rinse the knife briefly with clear water after use and then dry it well. Your knife will thank you for a regular drop of OIL for carbon blades or wooden handles.
