Special Feature - Carl Schlieper Vintage Gentleman's Knife "Chuchillos/Werkzeug" Stamped Scales
Please note that the nail nick on the small blade is deeply recessed and hidden by the embossing plate. To open this blade, you must first open the main blade to better access the nail nick. Therefore, this is a B-grade item.
Connoisseurs of vintage Solingen pocket knives with a history will find this a real gem. Here I offer you a vintage gentleman's knife with metal stamped scales from the Carl Schlieper company. The main blade is stamped with E. Bruckmann. Ernst Brückmann (brand MANN) was a steel goods manufacturer in the Solingen-Ohligs district. The company was founded in 1891 and officially registered in Ohligs in 1901. Shortly after E. Brückmann's death in 1956, the company closed.
This vintage Schlieper knife, stamped with "Cuchillos y Tijeras de alta calidad" (High-quality knives and scissors), is a solid folding knife made in Solingen for the Spanish-speaking market. The inscription is in Spanish and translates to "Knives and scissors of high quality." This is a typical advertising feature of the Carl Schlieper company, used to emphasize the high quality of Solingen craftsmanship.
