MDK - SK01 EDC knife Micarta black incl. MDK-Kydex sheath SB1 + steel
It has always been my personal wish to design and manufacture my own knife. So some time ago I started collecting and sorting feedback from our customers. With this information I got to work and, taking into account the feedback, drew the SK-01. After a while the final drawing was finished and I can say that 80% of the feedback from our customers was included. SK stands for my first and last name "Sven Kinast" and 01 for the first knife I designed.
Now I just had to find someone who would professionally implement our idea. It took exactly one phone call with the well-known German knife maker Jürgen Schanz, who also belongs to the "German Knife Makers Guild", and a partner was found.
Surprisingly and proudly, I achieved 3rd place in the readers 'competition in Messer magazine with my first design in the 2015 readers' poll.
