Hvedegaard Knives - JGT II EDC Custom knife made of RWL-34 steel with horse chestnut wood
What a feast for the eyes! Finest handcraft from Denmark by the young knife maker Mikkel Hvedegaard. The 23 year old knife maker not only builds high quality knives but also makes his own leather sheaths. The blade has a very finely crafted longitudinal finish and the leather sheath is a dream.
My requirement was that he only use woods that have a strong structure. For this JGT-II EDC knife, which is slightly smaller than the Hunt-X, Mikkel used horse chestnut as the handle material. Horse chestnut is a very beautiful grained wood that immediately catches the eye. In addition, he underlaid the handle material with a red liner and also took this into account when manufacturing the handmade leather sheath with belt loop.
